And So It Begins!

2-3-7  & 3-50 Club!!!

We are so excited for players to be recognized every week with helmet decals for achieving our 2-3-7 and our 3-50 club status. Players have the opportunity to earn both decals every week for hard work both on and off the field.

What is our 2-3-7 club?

Several years ago in a Little League World Series game, a double play happened due to the heads up play by the left fielder. Most  baseball players and parents are familiar with a 6-4-3 or a 4-6-3 double play.  But a  2-3-7 ?? This is very rare and shows a high level of anticipation and mental toughness.  Ask your son about it!  Red Clay is dedicated to preparing and motivating players to go above and beyond both on and off the field.  Players can earn decals for extraordinary effort and accomplishments such as : Honor roll, charitable work, exceptional athletic accomplishments, etc..

3-50 club

Red Clay players will earn helmet decals for working hard outside of team practice and games. Three different activities every week  which vary based on the age group. Players have all week to accumulate the minimum time needed to earn their decal.

3-50 for 13u players–

  • 50 minutes of lessons or working on specific drills that players receive at lessons (bullpens, hitting, blocking, etc.)
  • 50 minutes of stretching, foam rolling, band work, and READING mental toughness material
  • 50 minutes of Speed, Strength, & Agility, High Intensity Training,  running, etc.

Players who dedicate the combined 2.5 hours every week to become a better, faster, stronger athlete will earn their helmet decal.

“There may be people that have more talent than you, but there is no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do” – Derek Jeter

“There are three types of players: those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened” – Tommy Lasorda
